It's a well-known fact that post-graduate education—especially veterinary school—is expensive, and crippling student loan debt has become a hot topic of discussion in the veterinary community.
It is a complex problem that requires a multi-pronged approach, but one important part of the solution is to give students the necessary skills to understand manage their debt—and overall finances—long before they face the cold reality of repayment.
In this episode, Amanda Fark, director of the Office of Career Management at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and Class of 2021 student Becca Makii join Mia in studio to discuss the college's recent Financial Summit.
